CASTELLUM AQUAE. The manorhouse was part of a bigger property that King Pipino gave as a gift  to the Saint Zeno Abbey in 807 AD.  On a hilltop overlooking  the town of Verona the Benedectine monks built a Monastery that has been converted in more recent times into a Palladian Villa and the old water-tank of the Monastery instead has been converted, by its current owner, into a private residence.
